An Artist In Connecticut
In July I traveled to Connecticut with my family and I did lots of sketching on the many hikes, museum trips, and zoo visits. I really enjoy sketching outside and in plein air whenever possible. I feel like traveling is the perfect chance to do just that so I always pack my travel sketchbook and plenty of art materials whenever I go somewhere new.
I also always pack watercolors even though I almost never have enough time to use them how I want. I never feel like I have enough time in one place to make the watercolors worth it, but I always try. Maybe someday I’ll learn to leave those in the studio (but probably not).
Enjoy these pages from my sketchbook and know that I was absolutely being eaten alive by mosquitoes while I was creating them :)
I also created a short travel sketchbook video if you want to see more from the trip!
